Donation of oocytes is a special procedure used in cases where the quality or the quantity of the patient’s eggs is determined as the obstacle in the way of a successful pregnancy. Another reason why a patient would want to choose to use a donor of oocytes is because during the process of genetics screening the risk of a single or multiple hereditary genetic disorders was identified as high.
In 80% of the cases, foreign patients who come to seek help in our clinic have already had an unsuccessful IVF treatment in another clinic. In some cases our doctors recommend donor oocytes because it might be the most appropriate course of treatment for that particular patient.
These figures are amongst the best in world of IVF. We are considered a leader of IVF in Ukraine. Foreign patients come to us because the quality of service is equal to, and in some cases better than in the country of their residence, at a fraction of the price, and no waiting lists.
Selection of the donors is a very important process in the IVF treatment and our clinic approaches it meticulously. We have a growing donor base that we work with continuously; each donor goes through a rigorous selection process, where each undergoes medical, psychological, and genetic screening in order to be applicable to become a donor. After the donor has passed all the preliminary tests he would enter our donor database.
Our donor database is continuously updated and includes about 860 different phenotypes.
Ukraine is a country where population is predominant Caucasian. The country’s population has a large verity of different phenotypes. Ukraine ranks 10th in the World Average IQ Rating, the population is well educated, and Ukrainian women are renowned for their beauty.
Only physically and mentally healthy women without bad habits (drug addiction, alcohol and substance abuse), between the ages of 20 to 32, who already have healthy children, can become donors. Information about donors is entered into the database.
If the patient has been recommended to try the treatment with the use of a donation, the donor with similar phenotype characteristics to those of the patient will selected by our doctors, so that the patient’s baby will inherent similar traits.
One of the biggest advantages for our foreign patients is our approach to information confidentiality. The egg donation is an anonymous process in Ukraine. Neither you nor your donor will know who the other party is.
The cost of the donor selection and stimulation is included in the total cost of the IVF treatment. You will not be required to pay any additional fees

Surrogacy is a special procedure by which the pregnancy is carried by a surrogate and not the intended mother.
The clinic provides medical services to patients residing in the countries which legislation does not prohibit the surrogacy. Exclusive partner relationships between ISIDA and Lutsyna, the agency for the accompanying and support of assisted reproductive technologies, helps us perform our comprehensive Surrogacy Programs.
Lutsyna is a full-scale market operator providing reproductive assistance to Ukrainian and foreign patients in Ukraine as well as a wide range of services: from competent legal advice, assistance in choosing a surrogate mother and\or a donor and comprehensive documentation support to the registration of your child at the registry office and assistance in traveling abroad.

Should everything be alright, the treatment process begins. The patient or donor’s superovulation is stimulated if donor eggs are required. By such procedures the eggs of the surrogate mother are not used, therefore, the baby will not be genetically-related to her.
Following maturation, the follicles are punctured and fertilized by the patient or donor’s sperm in the embryology laboratory.
The obtained embryos are transferred into the uterus of a surrogate mother, where the pregnancy will start developing.

A "clinical pregnancy" has a pregnancy sac seen in the uterus on ultrasound exam.
The "live birth rate" is the percentage of all IVF cycles that lead to a live birth. This rate does not include miscarriage or still birth and multiple-order births such as twins and triplets are counted as one pregnancy.

Credence program
“Credence” is a unique infertility treatment program with the use of donor oocytes. 100% refund is guaranteed if the pregnancy is not achieved following two or three IVF cycles.
The program is designed to protect our patients in the best possible way, allowing to receive the best results with a maximum treatment payback. It helps significantly mitigate financial risks associated with unsuccessful IVF treatment with donor oocytes and lets the patients plan their expenses easily, knowing the program’s fixed fee (1 fresh embryo + 1 or 2 vitrified ones).
In cases where complete treatment cycle does not result in a pregnancy after 2 or 3 fertilization attempts depending on the program type, the patient receives a full refund of the program fee.
It is important to keep in mind that there are so-called exclusionary criteria, i.e. the list of medical constraints preventing the patient from using this program. These are:

All medical procedures are performed in ISIDA Clinic pursuant to Ukrainian legislation. Liberal legal framework allows us to provide our patients with a wide range of services.
According to Article 123 of the Family Code of Ukraine dated January 10, 2002 No. 2947-III “Affiliation of a Child Born by Virtue of Assisted Reproductive Technologies.”
1. If the wife delivers the child conceived using Assisted Reproductive Technology, upon written consent of her husband, the latter shall be registered as the father of the child born to his wife.
2. If the embryo conceived by the spouses using Assisted Reproductive Technology is transferred into the body of another woman, the spouses shall be considered the parents of the child.
3. The spouses shall be considered the parents of the child, delivered by the wife, when an embryo conceived by her husband and another woman using Assisted Reproductive Technology was transferred into the wife's body.
According to the Order of the Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine No. 787 "On Approval of the Procedure of Assisted Reproductive Technologies Application" adopted on September 9, 2013, the following technologies can be used:
In vitro fertilization (IVF);
Oocytes donation;
Cryopreservation of the eggs, sperm and embryos;
Additional technologies when performing IVF:
ICSI;
Auxiliary hatching;
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
Surrogacy (this method is used in our clinic only in the presence of medical necessity).
Embryos
Transfer
By in vitro fertilization the legislation recommends transferring not more than one or two embryos. A larger number of embryos can be transferred in the presence of medical necessity.
Cryopreservation
Cryopreservation of embryos is allowed under the law. Frozen embryos can be used in the next cycles. Ukrainian legislation does not determine the term of embryo storage. Transporting the embryos abroad is not prohibited, yet the terms and conditions are not clearly outlined. In case of transportation of the embryo, the legal support of this process must be ensured.
Embryos reduction
The legislation allows reducing certain number of embryos in cases where multiple pregnancy poses a threat to woman’s life and health, and in some other cases. This decision is taken jointly by the doctor and the pregnant woman. A written consent of the patient is required for the reduction which must be performed prior to the 10th week of pregnancy.
Oocytes and sperm donation
Donation
Eggs and sperm donation is strictly anonymous in Ukraine and performed only in the presence of medical necessity, subject to the patients’ written consent. Pursuant to legislation, the donors may not claim parental rights to the future offspring.
The donor will not receive any information about the person who becomes cells recipient and future offspring.
High requirements are applied to the oocytes donors. Only physically and mentally healthy women without bad habits (drug addiction, alcohol and substance abuse), between the ages of 20 to 32, who already have healthy children, can become donors.
