About the Clinic

The Gutenberg Centre Reproduction Unit (URE) was established in Malaga in 1987. With a team of more than twenty professionals, in 1989 we were able to successfully assist in the very first pregnancy with In Vitro Fertilization in the Malaga province, resulting in a baby girl. This places us as one of Spain’s top centres in regards to innovation and expertise. According to data from the Spanish Fertility Society, The Gutenberg Centre Reproduction Unit is currently the leading specialty fertility clinic for having performed the highest number of assisted reproduction treatments in the province of Malaga.

We bring 30 years of experience to Reproductive Medicine. We perform from the easiest of assisted reproductive technologies, such as Artificial Insemination, to the most sophisticated, such as In Vitro Fertilization, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Egg Donation. We are constantly investing in cutting edge technologies to assure that we are always up to date with the latest techniques.

A "clinical pregnancy" has a pregnancy sac seen in the uterus on ultrasound exam.
The "live birth rate" is the percentage of all IVF cycles that lead to a live birth. This rate does not include miscarriage or still birth and multiple-order births such as twins and triplets are counted as one pregnancy.
