A "clinical pregnancy" has a pregnancy sac seen in the uterus on ultrasound exam.
The "live birth rate" is the percentage of all IVF cycles that lead to a live birth. This rate does not include miscarriage or still birth and multiple-order births such as twins and triplets are counted as one pregnancy.

Short description of the fertility national law or policies in the country:

Assisted reproductive techniques are available only for heterosexual couples.
Polish law allows infertility treatment using in vitro fertilization only when other methods did not give positive results. For patients up to 35 years old it is allowed to inseminate maximum 6 oocytes and one embryo can be transferred. These limitations does not concern patients being 35 years old and above.
