Where Egg Donation (.pdf file) is legal, egg donors receive compensation ranging from 1.000 to 2.000 euro. These numbers correspond mostly to EU countries, because in the US the amount may reach 10.000$, excluding the IVF treatment expenses. On the other hand, in the EU the donor and recipient will never meet and only a minimum of information can be disclosed to the recipient regarding the donor. In the US, the recipient can choose on her own or even decide to meet her egg donor.
