His primary interests are in the hormonal control of endometrial receptivity. Current clinical research interests include studies on endometrial receptivity and embryo implantation.

Jaroslavs Lakutins obtained his medical degree in 1998 and the speciality degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2002 at the Hospital Clínic – Stradinsh University of Riga, Latvia. Since his graduation from residency programme in 2002, he has been working in the field of reproductive medicine.
