Dr. Paul Owusu Baah, MB Ch; FACOG; FWACS; FGCS, graduated from the University of Ghana Medical School in 1974 and did his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center-New York Medical College.
Dr Owusu-Baah was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1985 and was elected a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1986.
He was involved in residency training positions and rose to the rank of assistant clinical professor at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and New York Medical College-Lincoln Medical Center. He also worked as an attending gynaecologist at the following hospitals in New York: Brooklyn Hospital, Family Health Center, Interfaith Medical Center and Our Lady of Mercy Medical center.
Dr Owusu-Baah relocated to Ghana in 1995 and established the Tema Womens Hospital, Tema, which is one of the leading womens hospital in Ghana and West Africa sub-region especially in the area of infertility.
He has appeared on a number of programmes on radio and television including BBC focus on Africa on infertility management, and has also attended numerous post graduate courses in infertility and had presented papers at conferences.
Dr Owusu-Baah is a member of European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology and American Society for Reproductive Medicine and a past president of the Association of Ghanaian Physicians of North America.
